Services

Delicate Dishes LLC does offer delivery and pick-up. Because Delicate Dishes is a small family business we are limited on how many services we can offer each weekend.

If you are able to pick-up and return rentals, pick-up is in Kalamazoo, MI. Items can be picked up a day or two before your event and can be returned a couple of days after (usually on Monday or Tuesday). Pick up and return times are by appointment only. Please indicate the date and time you would like to pick up and return and I will do my best to accommodate the requested appointment times. You can pick up and return the items yourself or you may designate someone to sign for the rentals and pick them up and return them on your behalf. The person signing for and transporting the items must be at least 18.

Descriptions of services:

Delivery Service - We would load all the rentals and bring them to your venue and unload them to whatever area/s that are designated.

and

Pick up Service - We would load all the packed items into our vehicle and transport them back to Delicate Dishes.

Delivery & pickup fees are figured based on the following formula: 

  • $2.54 per mile from venue for delivery ($30 minimum)

  • $2.54 per mile from venue for pick up ($30 minimum)

  • If Delivery/Pickup is more than 20 crates/racks  + $0.50/mi

Please note: We do not offer services on Sundays.

Cleaning of our rentals 

We wash all rented tableware, however:

  • Flatware must be rinsed immediately after your event to remove sauces and food which can damage the silver or gold plating

  • Plates must be scraped of food

  • Goblets must be emptied

  • Brass candlestick holders must have wax removed to receive a refund of the refundable wax cleaning deposit. Refund of this deposit is per item. (The brass finish is ruined by really high heat, do not use boiling water, heat torch or hair dryer on highest setting. Hot soapy tap water is fine. Freezing is also fine.)
